Wroclaw's Evacuation

 

Wroclaw's evacuation is a pre-production design document for a fictional Assassin's creed game set in central Europe (1240-1242) during the mongolian invasion. It was made as part of the architectural principles class at Le Campus ADN.

Goal & Design Intentions

 

My goal was to create a blackbox that was part of a larger mission for the game Assassin's Creed.

 

To create an open-world environment that will let the player decide the approach he wants to take to complete the mission. 

To stay as accurate to real historical event as possible.

Synopsis

The villagers of Wroclaw are nervous. For days, they have heard rumors of strange invaders coming from the East. The Mongolians army is pushing its way throughout Europe. However, the King does not seem to rush the evacuation of his city. It is because of his second in command telling him to stay put and that the invasion is without a doubt about to end and will not reach the city.  The player then learns that the second in command is in fact a Templar, allied to the Mongols and want the city to fall so the Templars can increase their grasp of the region. A town meeting is scheduled in the cathedral, the King wanting to put people's mind at set. The player will have to get inside the cathedral, assassinate the second in command and urge the King to evacuate the city before the army of Gengis Khan destroy them.
